ABOUT

Oren Zoldan is a designer who focuses on furniture and the awareness of self while interacting with objects. Having started his college education in the STEM field of bioengineering, he is a strong advocate for environmentally sound practices and is always on the lookout for ways to innovate a greener, more eco-friendly final product. A graduate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, he works with a foundation of knowledge that goes well beyond cursory furniture fabrication and into processes such as metal, resin, and plaster castings, ceramic throwing, glazing, as well as welding and grinding. He uses CAD software for visualization and the manufacturing of many of his prototypes. His practice utilizes the ability to coordinate across these mediums to ensure production is effective and efficient.
